You could really feel the community spirit with so many generous sponsors and donations. Saturday 6 July at Ryde Civic Hall, Ryde District Mums sold over 2,900 raffle tickets and raised over $7,000 for the Hew Family. The day was perfect and over 200 kids showed up for this special fundraiser.

The goal was to help raise funds so that Lauren could get out of hospital and spend her time at home with her family and friends, surrounded by love.

We love her strength and determination throughout such a terrible and emotional 5 years of battling cancer. By seeing such courage, it gives us the hope we can fight anything that comes our way.

A big thank you to Ryde District Mums

Thank you again to Jessica and Jacqui at Ryde District Mums who organised this event and for including us with helping a family in need.

We hope we made a difference and were so privileged to be apart of the Fundraiser.

“Despite the ridiculous financial strain that we have been under during the past 4 years, and will continue to be under, I live each day as if it’s my last. I savour every moment with my babies, good and bad. I sit in the warm sun, I breathe in all the scents in the air around me, I squish my toes in the grass, I gaze at the stars and meditate during thunderstorms. I have been given the worst gift in the world, cancer. BUT it has taught me to focus on the NOW, not the LATER.” – click here to read her full story
